For Term 2, Mini School hit the road with Lego Robotic kits and Virtual Reality goggles. The Mini School crew visited Learning Hubs within our area including the South Coast and the Riverina. Students engaged in the creative and highly immersive activity of building a Lego robot and then coding it to make interesting movement and sounds. It was exciting and entertaining to see the results as the robots danced, jolted and shuffled accompanied by cat purrs, lion roars and robotic hellos. Students were particularly excited to try out the dinosaur themed rollercoaster on the virtual reality goggles. It was unclear who had the better time the students or those watching.
A massive shout out goes to Jeanine Dunkley, Troy Wasson, Vickie Krikowa, Sally Twardochleb, the Learning Hub teachers and SLSO’s for their support and time during the event. It was an extremely worthwhile experience for all.
